How do I get a Refund?



Registrations are non-refundable, refunds are not available unless you purchased Registration Protection when you registered for an event.  If you did purchase Registration Protection, you may request a refund at this web link https://refund.active.com/event

 

 

What if I can't make it to the event or I am injured?



If you cannot make the event or you are injured, you have the option to Defer to the 2027 event.  Deferrals can be completed at, https://a1amarathon.com/contacts/deferral-form

 

 

Can I defer to next year’s event?



Yes, Deferrals are available.  The deferral fee is $35 if submitted by January 1, 2026, and $45 if submitted after January 1, 2026.

Where is packet pickup?



The Publix Health & Fitness Expo will serve as the Packet Pick-up for the events.  The Expo takes place at the Broward County Convention Center in The Grand Floridian Ballroom, 3rd Floor on Friday, February 12th from 3pm – 8pm, and on Saturday, February 13th from 10am – 6pm.  For more detailed information, please visit The Expo web page, https://a1amarathon.com/health-fitness-expo/

Will there be gear check?



There is a gear check at the Start area for the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 6K.  The Gear Check truck will be located at the back of the start corral at a Truck.  The Gear check truck will be in the Finish area.  Please no valuables in the Gear check bag.  If possible, we suggest running with your car key.

Is there a time limit for the Marathon & Half Marathon run courses?



Course Hours:  Both the Full and Half Marathon Courses will be open for 6 hours and 15 minutes, from 5:45am – 12:00pm. At the 6-hour mark, remaining runners and Walkers can continue via the Sidewalk. Our Finish Area will be operational until 1:30pm.

We ask that all participants be at the Start area by 5:20am. Shuttle Buses: I see the Start & Finish are in different locations, will there be Shuttle buses?



Yes, for the Marathon, Half Marathon and 6k, there will be a free shuttle bus service that will go back and forth from the Finish to the Start & vice versa from 4am until 1:30pm.  For more detailed information regarding Shuttle buses, information is available on the Parking web page at, https://a1amarathon.com/parking-info/

Will there be hydration stations on the course?



Hydration Stations – Both courses offer Hydration Stations at approximately every mile to mile and a half, with the exception of Station 1 which is about 2 miles from the Start.  Water and Gatorade will be available at each Station.  GU gel will be available to Marathon participants at Stop #7 at the north end of the course.

Will there be a sports drink on the course?

Are there bathrooms on the course?



Portlets will be located at every Aid station along the Marathon & Half Marathon course, approximately every mile to mile and a half.  Portlets will also be available at the Start & Finish.

Are ear buds/air pods permitted?



Yes, they are permitted, but we ask that volume be kept at a lower level so you can hear directions and be aware of your surroundings as motorcycle and bicycle support may at times be coming from behind you.

Is this event going to be chip timed?



Yes, timing tags will be affixed to the back of the runner bib number.

Are there awards?



All AGE group awards will be given out based on Chip Time/Net Time for each age group category for both male & females. Age Groups categories are for each 5-year increment: 19 & Under; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34, etc. all the way up to 70-74, then 75 and older.

OVERALL Awards are based on GUN TIME.  If you expect to challenge for an Overall Award, please position yourself at the front of the Start Corral. Half Marathon & Marathon award ceremonies will take place at the Colavita tents in the sponsor village.
