Start Line Location:      1100 Seabreeze Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316

Course Hours:

Both the Full and Half Marathon Courses will be open for 6 hours, from 6:00am – 12:00pm. At the 6 hour mark, remaining runners and Walkers can continue via the Sidewalk. Our Finish Area will be operational until 1:30pm.

We ask that all participants be at the Start area by 5:20am. Our event features a ‘Mass Start’ for the 2024 event.  Faster-paced runners should make their way to the front, while slower-paced runners & walkers should position themselves toward the back of the corral.  For Details visit the Course Info web page, https://a1amarathon.com/event-details/course-information/

Packet Pickup:

The Publix Health & Fitness Expo will serve as the Packet Pick-up for the events.  The Expo takes place at the Broward County Convention Center in the Grand Room, 3rd Floor on Friday, February 16th from 3pm – 8pm, and on Saturday, February 17th from 10am – 6pm.  For more detailed information, please visit The Expo web page, https://a1amarathon.com/health-fitness-expo/

Pace Teams:

There will be Pace Teams available for the Half Marathon. The pacers will be located in the Start Line Corral and will be holding signs and balloons with the target pace on it. The Pacers will be organized in 15 minute increments: 2:00 hrs., 2:15 hrs., etc.

Shuttles:

NO SHUTTLE BUSES for the 2024 Event.  We Start & Finish from the same location

Parking:

We STRONGLY recommend that people arrive by 4:30am to park! Carpooling is also Strongly Recommended. There will be some congestion as thousands of cars will be traveling to the area! Gear Check:

There will be a Gear Check for 2024. It will take place at a 26ft Yellow Penske truck parked in our Parking Lot, on the A1A side of the parking lot, to the Left of the Start/Finish Line if you are facing north.  Please no valuables in the Gear check bag.  If possible, we suggest running with your car key.

 Medals & Awards:

Awards:

All AGE group awards  will be given out based on Chip Time/Net Time for each age group category for both male & females. Age Groups categories are for each 5-year increment: 19 & Under; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34, etc. all the way up to 70-74, then 75 and older.

OVERALL Awards are based on GUN TIME.  If you expect to challenge for an Overall Award, please position yourself at the front of the Start Corral.

The Award Ceremony for both the Half Marathon & Marathon will take place at the Colavita tents where the band will be playing.

Half Marathon Awards:  8:45am (Pending Results are OFFICIAL)


Timing & Scoring:

We will be using the Bib Chip System this year. Your timing chip will be affixed to your bib. It is your responsibility to ensure that your bib is worn with the chip attached. No Chip…No Time.

You do not need to return the chip after the race; it can be disposed.
